Guess I'm just bored. Go look, send me a msg, be my friend
Ehm, been up here for about 10 days now - get to go home on the 21st - yippee! I'm SO looking forward to getting back to the dear green place (ie. Glasgow, and no it was not me that thought up that title for it) and just chill in my flat! >.< Well, I won't be chilling there much longer coz we're moving...which means packing, cleaning...and trying to fix the curtains we've totally ripped at the top :s
Paul says he's found a flat in the city centre within our price range so that should be sweeeeeeeet. Means I can stumble home from the cathouse and not have to bother faffing about waiting for taxis. Anyway, since I'm so bored and I have 42 minutes left on this computer I shall tell you about my trip from Glasgow to Orkney. Had to get up well early - bout 7ish, and heave my giant backpack on the subway to queen street - took about 20 mins. At Queen street we needed to get on our train to Aberdeen which took 3 hours. Got to Aberdeen about...11ish? Faffed about there for near enough 5 hours...we stayed in a pub for the whole time! It was a really bloody cool pub! It was an old converted church and it had a whole halloween, gothic thing going on with busts of dracula and toilets hidden behind book cases and stuff. Was brilliant! I wish we had one of them in Glasgow, I'd never leave...eventually they'd just employ me....then I'd hate it
anyway, got on the ferry at Aberdeen harbour between 4/5 and set sail for Orkney! Sailing time was about 6 hours so I was well bloody knackered by the time we arrived in Kirkwall. So yes, not actually explained WHY I'm in Orkney at this very second in time - was all very last minute really. Got a phone call on the way to work from an archaeologist working in the uni up here asking if I wanted to do some field work. Which was handy since for my degree I need to do at least 7 weeks of field work. Managed to get time off work...somehow...and off I went! With a giant red first aid bag I nicked from the attic and my poor excuse for a trowel that I found in B&Q. We're digging an iron age something - no one can make up their minds what we are actually doing. It just looks like a big pile of rubble to me...with a few uprights and paving here and there. Its a mighty fine mess. Well...only 4 more days to go of back breaking labour and I shall be free to faff about in the people's capital. yaaaaaay! And on the saturday when I get back I'm supposed to be having dinner with my mum then going out to get bloatered for wee jude's 20th at the local alternative scene....boys with long hair....mmmmm. I'm gonna be shattered...but once I've got a few drinks in I'll be grand. Not doing anything on sunday. Shall use that for recovery time.
Nyar nyar nyar!
Oh yeah, and I'll do more pictures...just running out of inspiration so if anyone wants any requests or trades then this is the time to ask! XD

...why does nobody ever believe me when I say that?
